CME Faculty Advisory Council

The Stanford CME Faculty Advisory Council is comprised of physician faculty in the Stanford School of Medicine who are supportive of Stanford CME. The Council is chaired by the Associate Dean for Postgraduate Medical Education and staffed by the Executive Director and Managers of the Stanford Center for Continuing Medical Education (SCCME).

Role and Responsibilities

The CME Advisory Council meets four times a year: in February, May, September and November. The members provide oversight to ensure that the Stanford Center for CME meets its mission (goals) and remains compliant with the ACCME Accreditation Criteria. The members also provide advice on the financial model for CME and on the prioritization of SCCME activities.

Annually, the Council evaluates the overall CME Program, and in doing so identifies both strengths and opportunities for improvement within the SCCME.

The Stanford CME Faculty Advisory Council members serve as ambassadors for the SCCME throughout Stanford University Medical Center and beyond.
