Stanford University School of Medicine respects the privacy of every learner in our Continuing Medical Education (CME) Program.

The types of personal information we collect from learners may include name, email addresses, phone numbers, professional affiliations evaluation scores, and CME pre and post test scores.
How Information is Used
We use the personal information of learners to provide services and to help us better understand learner knowledge and competence, needs and interests. Uses of personal information may include help with registration or other transactions, communication between learners and Stanford units, service or support, and ability to notify learners about programs and services. We may sometimes use personal information to request survey information about CME programs and services.
Information is Never Sold
No personal information is sold to or shared with any organization or individual external to the Stanford University Medical Center, except for accreditation purposes.
You May Opt In/Out
When providing personal information, learners will have the option of choosing to be contacted regarding additional Stanford Continuing Medical Education activities and services.
Any notification about additional CME programs and services to former learners will provide the opportunity to “opt-out” of future notifications.
Information Collected from Web Sites Used for Aggregate Analyses
Personal information collected from users of Stanford CME Web sites will only be used for aggregate analyses, and not for the analysis of individual users.
System logs and cookies might be used to obtain general information about Web site usage patterns, user demographics, and types of client software.

Any credit card, social security, or other sensitive personal data, will be transmitted and stored on appropriately secured systems.
